The Fluid Life Corporation has an immediate job opening for an Intermediate to Senior Lubrication & Oil Analysis Consultant.
This position reports directly to the Chief Reliability Officer
This is a permanent position in a successful and growing company with a proven history in oil analysis and lubrication support services.
This position involves providing high quality consulting services in oil analysis and lubrication technology for clients throughout Canada and the United States.
Preferred Skills and Credentials:
- A clearly defined track record of being an industry expert in the lubrication, oil analysis and equipment reliability industry.
- A passionate results-oriented person dedicated to making a positive difference in developing and achieving goals.
- Ability to work with large amounts of technical and oil analysis data and the ability to deduce clear and valuable information from it.
- Must have a sound knowledge of lubricants (oils and greases) including oil types, additives, functions and applications.
- Previous experience in one or more of the following industries; Pulp & Paper, Mining, Oil and Gas, Forestry,
Transportation, Industrial Manufacturing, Power Generation, and Petrochemical.
- Understanding and/or experience with these maintenance and reliability assessment programs would be an asset:
- Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Effective listening and speaking skills with all levels of an organization
- Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- The ability to quickly learn new software programs is required.
- Must develop and maintain expert knowledge in the existing and future Fluid Life software and hardware programs (i.e WinRoast®, CheckPoint, CeRoast, MyLab).
- Capable of working independently with minimal executive management supervision or direction.
- Valid Canadian Passport and Class 5 license.
Duties and Expectations:
- Provide expert knowledge and recommendations in advanced oil analysis data interpretation services for types of industry equipment.
- Provide lubrication consulting services and audits to clients providing high quality recommendations in regards to lubrication products and lubrication systems.
- Complete oil analysis surveys at client facilities to assess and select appropriate equipment for inclusion in a routine program, including identification of the best practical sample location, fitting requirements and testing matrix and frequency.
- Develop new profitable consulting services offerings complimenting the overall goals of the corporation.
