Laboratory Assistant

The Fluid Life Corporation, a leader in the oil analysis industry is seeking an energetic and capable lab assistant to join our team. Fluid Life offers an exciting and fast paced work environment in a growing industry, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive profit sharing bonus program.

The Position:

Reporting to the Lab Assistant Supervisor, the Lab assistant is responsible for unpacking, preparing and setting up fluid samples for testing as well as discarding completed samples.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Assigning process numbers and register in Lab Manager for testing and billing.
  • Perform initial sample preparation including ICP weigh out and particle count pour off.
  • Organize tested samples for storage and verify that necessary billing is in the system. Dump samples when storage time has expired.
  • Contribute to achieving turnaround time goals and quality lab support.
  • Perform general lab duties such as filtering solvent, washing acid/base number cups, putting away shipments of supplies and taking out garbage.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Position Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Will have some computer literacy.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Possess great attention to detail and quality control.
  • Must be partial to repetitive work.
