Description:
The Fluid Life Corporation, Canada’s leading oil, fuel and coolant analysis
provider, has an immediate opening for a Result Interpretation Manager based at
its Edmonton location. Over the last 25 years, Fluid Life has developed long
term relationships with Canadian industrial, mining, transportation and resource
companies who rely on Fluid Life for quality fluid analysis, thought provoking
maintenance training and innovative software solutions for
their maintenance and reliability needs. This new position has been created to
complement Fluid Life’s current service offering as well as fill a growing need for
post sample result interpretation and action recommendation. The opportunity is
a key part of Fluid Life's long-term strategy to maintain its leadership position in
industrial fluid analysis services.
Duties:
Working in conjunction with our Testing Services Manager, this position will
report to the Operations Manager. This successful candidate will hire, train and
lead a team of junior and intermediate technicians responsible for the
interpretation of high volumes of used oil, coolant and fuel sample results
produced by routine and advanced analysis. Through the lens of a client’s fluid
sample results, their previous sample data, equipment type and
flagging limits, the Result Interpretation Manager will provide oversight,
commentary and recommendations to both mobile and industrial customers on
possible next action steps for their lubricated assets.
In addition, the result interpretation department will develop monthly Key
Performance Indicators, improve auto-commenting system and streamline
flagging program. The successful candidate will act as a major liaison with
lubricant technical advisers and marketing teams as well as relevant original
equipment manufacturer representatives.
Education, Experience & Attributes:
Education: Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technologist or Relevant
Trade (Millwright, Power Engineer, Operator). Certifications may include OMA I &
II or Certified Lubrication Specialist.
The successful candidate will have 5 to 10
years field experience working with lubricating oils, various plant and mobile
equipment as well as familiarity with other reliability initiatives.
Strong computer
skills and the ability to learn new software programs will be valued. The
successful candidate must be passionate about reliability, well organized, able
to prioritize work and detail orientated while working with in a team environment.
