About the Program

Fluid Life Laboratories participate in the ASTM Proficiency and Interlaboratory Crosscheck Program. This program is sponsored by ASTM Committee D-2 on Petroleum and Lubricants and is used worldwide by a large number of participants.

ASTM sends out test samples on a routine basis that are representative of the petroleum products and lubricants analyzed onsite. Fluid Life performs testing using the specified ASTM method identified in the program and then reports the data to ASTM for statistical evaluation.

• In-service Hydraulic Fluid Oil
• Turbine Oil
• Engine Coolants

Why Participate?

Participation in the program provides a statistically based tool that allows Fluid Life to compare their individual performance of ASTM methods against other laboratories that perform the same methods. Through this program, Fluid Life is able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of specific tests. Taking part in the ASTM program allows Fluid Life laboratories to fulfill their accreditation requirement to demonstrate proficiency in their testing.
