Sample kit requirements?
- Fuel sample needs to be submitted in a four liter container
- Once the sample is complete, Fluid Life will clean the drum and send it back to the original shipper
- Sample cards must include information to the lab
- Fluid life offers a one gallon steel drum gasoline shipper container for the shipment of your sample. These drums need to be requested and are a special order item
- Please double check to see that you have included the appropriate documentation with your samples
When should I sample my fuel?
The general guidelines for sampling fuel are:
- Sampling at least once every quarter is adequate. On average, every six months is acceptable and recommended
How do I take my sample?
- Fuel steel drum is clean and free of contaminants
- Samples are drawn from the bottom of the tank
- Fill drum to the fill point, leaving 10mm of airspace. This will prevent leakage during transport and loss of sample
- Please make sure sample is securely packaged and leak proof
- Please double check to see that you have included the appropriate documentation with your samples
Following these guidelines will ensure samples arrive intact and uncontaminated, so that we can give you the most accurate results. The Fluid Life Quality Policy begins with the customer and the submission of samples in good condition with proper documentation.
