Model: qVisc 4340 DX Autosampled Viscometer (New)
The Fluid Life Corporation is proud to introduce the new qVisc 4340 DX dual arm autosampled viscometer.
Built around our line of successful autosampled and manual inject viscometers with over a decade long track record and
extensively field tested in high volume production used oil analysis laboratories,
the new qVisc 4340 DX raises the bar on high volume viscosity measurement.
With a staggering improvement in throughput of over 2.5 times our previous system,
the qVisc 4340 DX can deliver up to 205 viscosity measurements per hour. Designed to have lower maintenance needs and
use less cleaning solvent, the qVisc 4340 DX is the ultimate solution for production laboratories in need of high throughput viscosity measurements.

brochure as well as a comprehensive white
paper on the
unique benefits of our patented tube design.

Features
Totally automated, unattended viscosity determination at one or two temperatures from one sample.
Two baths, two temperatures, eight tubes, and two autosampler arms delivers up to 205 samples per hour for samples measured at one temperature and up to 100 samples per hour samples measured at two temperatures. See the throughput graphs on the page below for details. The autosampler can hold over 288 samples.
Covers the range for almost any lubricating fluid viscosity and temperature with no tube selection or splitting samples.
Compact floor stand design requires no fume hoods or duct work. Solvent vapors do not escape.
Enhanced valve design, enlarged bore fast run 100C tubes, and fully automated glass cleaning, work together to keep the instrument soot and build up free. Roll out instrument platform and strategically placed doors and pop off panels allow easy access for maintenance.
Advanced Windows based software controls the instrument and has flexible reporting options including managed daily log files, transfer to LIMS over serial or TCP/IP network links, save and restore sample information files, visually select sample locations, VI computations, and much more.
As little as 12 ml of solvent is used to clean a sample used for a single temperature measurement and as little as 20 ml for a sample measured at two temperatures. Typical average usages are 16 ml for single temperature and 26 ml for two.
Patented tube design verifies ASTM D445 method applies by measuring how Newtonian the samples are, and also rejects inaccurate measurements in ways no other instrument can (see our white paper for more information). High speed optical meniscus detection is immune to changes in fluid darkness.
Advanced computer software automatically runs QC checks, and constantly checks the system for proper operation. At the first sign that a tube is not functioning correctly, or may be returning inaccurate results, the tube is automatically taken offline while functioning tubes remain working.
Smart controllers shut down if unable to maintain steady temperature. Separate over temperature detectors and bath level float sensors remove power if bath fluid too low or any other over temperature event occurs. At no time is solvent placed under pressure, all cleaning is done by simply drawing up solvent under vacuum.
