What is Industrial Fluid Analysis?

Industrial fluid analysis is the study of lubricants, coolants, fuels and specialty fluids. Specifically, industrial fluid analysis determines if a lubricant or coolant’s respective properties are functioning properly. Analysis also looks for any indication of contamination as well as an examination of wear debris within the fluid. Industrial fluid analysis quantifies these physical properties and offers the user a window into those conditions on a ongoing basis.

Why should I consider using Industrial Fluid Analysis?

Regular fluid analysis is the most proactive approach to preventing equipment breakdown and loss of operating revenue.

Industrial fluid analysis provides users with the information required to help increase

  • equipment reliability
  • equipment performance
  • profits

Industrial fluid analysis provides users with the information required to help decrease

  • costly downtime
  • maintenance costs
  • poor performance
  • fluid consumption

By discovering small problem areas before they become larger ones, industrial fluid analysis allows maintenance professionals to respond through better scheduling of preventative maintenance measures and practices. Ultimately, industrial fluid analysis improves quality control by reducing downtime, which contributes to healthier profits.
