The first step in an effective lubrication management program is an evaluation of your current lubrication practices and an assessment of your lubrication needs. Fluid Life’s technical consulting professionals are qualified to evaluate your current lubrication situation and provide the unbiased results in a detailed report, complete with commentary and photographs.

Audit Programs

Program 1

Oil Analysis Survey

This survey reviews all oil-operated equipment at your facility to determine the need for an oil analysis program.
  • Identifies appropriate equipment for an oil analysis program and/or reviews existing equipment on a program.
  • Recommends best oil sample locations.
  • Recommends oil sample tests and frequency.
  • In addition the survey will identify obvious opportunities for improvement in contamination control for the selected equipment.

Program 2

Lubrication Audit

This is a detailed survey providing a complete unbiased audit of all lubricated equipment (oil & grease) at your facility. This audit will review the following areas:
  • Purchasing (How/Who/Supplier(s), etc.).
  • Receiving (QC, Inspections of new product received etc.).
  • Bulk Oil & Grease Storage Facilities.
  • Package Storage (Drums, pails, etc.).
  • Product transfer practices from storage to equipment.
  • Filtration carts, oil fill containers.
  • Overall Contamination Control.
  • Top up and re-fill practices and techniques.

  • Contamination Exclusion devices (air breathers).
  • Review all oil and grease lubricated equipment and recommend appropriate lubricant product.
  • Identify alternate lube/grease products to maximize cost benefits and equipment reliability.
  • Re-greasing techniques and program.
  • Recommend re-greasing schedule and quantity.
  • Opportunities to reduce/consolidate lubricant products.

Program 3

Lubrication Management Audit

This audit focuses on the concepts and strategies of effective "top-down" lubrication management and is meant to be proactive and practical.

Typical procedures are:

  • Interview key personnel involved in your lubrication program.
  • Make recommendations for long term sustained reliability and profitability.
  • Formulate specific lubrication management strategy.
  • Create a strategy for consistent sampling and data retrieval amongst employees.
  • Examination of past problems and the best way to overcome them.

Program 4

Custom Audit

This program gives the customer the ability to mix and match any or all parts of the three above audit programs into one customized program designed to meet your specific needs and operating environment.
