Fluid Life has a team of professional instructors with extensive knowledge in the lubrication and oil analysis field.

The goal of the Fluid Life Training department, and its instructors, is to develop and provide comprehensive training programs that meet the day-to-day needs of the individuals directly involved in lubrication and oil analysis. Although the Fluid Life seminars will help to prepare participants to challenge industry recognized certification programs, the ultimate goal is to provide knowledge that is both practical and applicable.

The Instructors

Paul Hetherington CLS, MLT I, MLA I

Manager Training & Consulting Services, The Fluid Life Corporation. Paul has over 25 years of extensive industry knowledge including, lubrication and oil analysis, development of several in plant reliability initiatives (vibration, thermography, ultrasonics and oil analysis), and plant maintenance engineering technology and support. He was the former corporate Lubrication and Fuel Specialist with a major oil sand operation in northern Alberta. Paul is a Certified Lubrication Specialist and has been an active member of the STLE (Society of Tribologists & Lubrication Engineers) since 1990. Paul presently holds the position of Regional Vice President, Western Canada for the STLE. You are certain to enjoy his insightful, comprehensive and enthusiastic approach.


 

Evan Zabawski CLS, OMA I, MLT I, MLA I

Evan is a Fourth Class Power Engineer with a diploma in chemical engineering. Prior to joining The Fluid Life Corporation Evan gained previous experience as a manager of a tribological lab before moving into the field of power generation fluid maintenance. He has been a member of STLE for over 9 years and is Chair of the STLE – Alberta Section, Host Section Chair of the 2006 STLE Annual Meeting Planning Committee, and frequent presenter at many local sections and past annual meetings. He has published several technical papers and is also a member in good standing of API and ASTM.
