Fluid Life named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies becoming a 2020 Gold Standard winner

Edmonton, AB – March 5, 2020 – Fluid Life was recognized for overall business performance and sustained growth with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation. Fluid Life won its initial Best Managed award in 2017 and has successfully retained its status, becoming a Gold Standard winner in 2020.

The 2020 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million demonstrating investment in talent and technology, innovation in a competitive environment, and an increased focus on global competition.

Fluid Life’s mission is to keep industry’s equipment running reliably and profitably. Independently owned and operated for over 35 years, this dynamic and innovative team delivers expert fluid analysis and sustainable money-saving reliability solutions to customers across North America. Fluid Life believes strongly in building a culture of connection and belonging, both internally and as a part of the broader corporate community, as evidenced by their passion around sponsoring and participating in local charities and events.

“This year’s Best Managed winners are a testament to the success found when businesses are deliberate about seizing the opportunity to do better; they invest in game-changing technology, commit to their corporate purpose and social responsibility, and solidify their place on the world stage,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Canada’s Best Managed Companies celebrate a community of the strongest private businesses that shape our country and fuel Canada’s competitiveness, creating sustainable economic growth in an evolving global market.”

Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. 2020 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include (but are not limited to) a clear and concise strategy, capability to invest in R&D, tools and proprietary equipment, and a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility.

“We are honoured and proud to retain our status as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies and become Gold Standard winner this year which speaks volumes about the efforts of everyone in the company,” said Heather Hunt, President, Fluid Life. “We continue to build on our vision to transform our industry through continuous innovation and significant investment in people and technology, all with the goal of improving our customers’ bottom line.”

“As a proud sponsor of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program for over 20 years, CIBC is pleased to congratulate Fluid Life for their ongoing commitment to client service, innovation and talent,” said Dino Medves, Senior Vice President and Head, CIBC Commercial Banking. “They understand what it takes to succeed in a constantly changing environment, influenced by fluctuating geo-political, economic and industry-specific forces.”

About Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million.
