Get the data you need, when you need it

Have an existing maintenance management system or CMMS?

Then talk to us about integrating your fluid analysis results with your maintenance reporting. Eliminate the need for multiple systems and enhance the visibility of your oil analysis program.

Fluid Life offers a number of data export and import options, including a myLab API, so you get the oil testing and analysis data you need, when and where you need it, to make informed maintenance decisions.

What we can do

Export and/or import your sample and maintenance data efficiently.
From self-serve data downloads to custom data transfer workflows, we’re here to help implement a solution that works for you.

By exporting your myLab oil analysis sample data to your existing systems, you can:

  • Make your oil analysis program more visible to operations and maintenance employees
  • Automatically generate work orders based on customized rules applied to test results
  • Set up customized dashboards and reporting for improved maintenance decision making

We offer a variety of options for exporting your myLab oil analysis sample data to another system:

  • Email Import File Formats: Use the generic emailing formats (CSV OR XML) or more program-specific ones (ENTEK, CSI, DMSI ).
  • myLab ODBC Driver: Pull filtered data based on your user profile using the built in ODBC driver.
  • myLab Public API: Using myLab’s public API you create XML or JSON import files of all results processed by the lab based on parameters you set.
  • Customized Solutions: Complete the form below to get more information.

To improve reporting and interpretation, import maintenance data from your CMMS maintenance to myLab.

  • Maintenance repair history: Allows for improved data interpretation for your team or use our CARE services.
  • Custom sample setup files: Import files generated from your own system for more accurate sample registration and test setup.
  • Daily meter readings and machine hours: Makes oil analysis sample registration easier and more efficient.
Data Transfer Options

The Fluid Life myLab API allows your application to connect to the internal functionality of myLab.

The myLab API is a RESTful API, with unique logical endpoints providing access to your data. Our current implementation involves features such as:

  • Read/fetch data on: Customers, Units, Components, Sample Results and In-Transit Samples, SMU’s, Maintenance and Reliability Alerts
  • Registering samples
  • Adding New Equipment / Track Equipment Changes
  • Importing SMU hours
  • Importing maintenance events
  • Updating the status (open, closed, etc.) of alerts

There are two Tiers – Basic and Professional – which control the scope of actions and request frequency possible via the API.

The myLab API Developer Portal includes information on authentication protocols, responses, data structure, and API endpoints.

Interested in utilizing the myLab API? Have your internal IT/Development team review the API documentation available on the developer portal and begin implementation. If you require implementation support, Fluid Life will work with you to scope out the project requirements and provide a quote for the development work.

Contact us using the form below if you would like more information on the myLab API or if you’d like to upgrade to the Professional API tier.

Basic myLab API includes:

  • Access to all GET endpoints and some PUT, POST, DELETE endpoints in the API
  • 20 requests per day
  • Available at no charge to all myLab subscribers

Professional myLab API includes:

  • Access to all endpoints
  • Up to 1000 requests per day
  • $25/month billed annually
  • Please contact Fluid Life for information on upgrading your account tier.

Note: Request limits are daily limits and do not carry forward.  At the beginning of every day, the request limits are topped up to the allowed volume of requests based on tier.
