Sample Timing
How do I know if my samples arrived at the Lab?
You can check if samples have arrived at the lab through myLab in the “Review New Results” task or by contacting [email protected].
What is the standard turnaround time?
Sample turnaround is the total time from when a sample is taken to when the results are published. Total sample turnaround can impacted by:
- Transit Time: The time from when a sample is taken to when it arrives at a Fluid Life laboratory and setup for analysis.
- Lab Analysis: The time from when a sample is setup in the lab system to when the results are published, and the report made available to the oil analysis user.
- Type of Testing Requested: Depending upon the test requested (e.g. a la carte single test, a full test package, an outsourced test, or more complex testing), your sample turnaround time will vary significantly.
We do our best to expedite sample testing as quickly as possible based on the above parameters. Rush sample testing is available if results are needed urgently. Talk to your Fluid Life representative at 877-962-2400 for details.
Rush Analysis
How long does a rush take?
Routine tests scheduled as a “rush” are given the highest priority amongst the other samples being tested.
Our goal is to get rush sample results out as quickly as possible.
Note that occasionally, there may be issues that affect rush sample turnaround times (e.g. late receipt of samples, larger than normal sample volumes, multiple rush sample requests, instrumentation issues, etc.), but we do strive to execute on rush orders first, in sequence.
Outsourced Tests
Rush testing is not available for any testing that is outsourced. This applies to both individual tests as well as test packages which contain one or more outsourced tests. If you have any questions or concerns regarding outsourced tests, please check with our Customer Care group at 877-962-2400.
How do I get samples rushed?
Contact [email protected]. In your email, provide your full name, company, phone number, lab tracking numbers or sample information. Additionally, register samples through MyLab and select “Rush Sample”.

When sending in your rush samples, be sure to label the boxes, bags, or waybills with the appropriate name (ideally matching your myLab account name) along with the words RUSH on it. This will help the lab identify a rush request quickly and ensure efficient sample set up.
What’s the cost for rush analysis?
Additional rush charges will vary depending upon the original turnaround time (e.g. rush analysis charge for a routine test will differ from charges for a 7-day test). These costs are subject to change at any time. Contact a Fluid Life representative at 877-962-2400 or [email protected] to confirm Rush charges.
